Hacking r4 sdhc dual core smart update firmware (fake? 2013?)

hi, can someone help me? i'm looking for the formware of this card, i don't know if this is the 2013 or the fake one, i just downgrade my 3ds xl to 4.5.0-8E and i hope this card is gonna work on this firmware.. this is the photo of the card:

with webarchive i was able to download the kernel, but still nothing.. black screen with the error, i also downgraded the 3ds, i'm on 4.5 now

What you've likely updated is the kernel. You may also need to update the firmware, by using either a <4.5 3DS, or an old Nintendo DS. You can grab that from here:

I've had the same problem with a happybox V2.0 (the red one). I've upgraded the firmware to the latest version (copy all the firmware files to SD, run and wait a while on the loading screen until a message appears telling me it's upgraded), installed the latest kernel, and it gets stuck on the loading screen with a message telling me I have to upgrade the firmware.

What error message?
If black screen with "Error Message: An Error Has Occurred. Hold Down the ..." than the card is dead, broken or unusable on 3ds.
Check it on DS Lite or any older console.

This card should work with Wood 1.62.

yes, that error.. i bough it from a flea market.. i was able, in the past day, to start it on my ds lite, but i only see icon and no text, now nothing, i tryed with:

You only need one (extracted) archive copied to the root of the SD card, either the fw upgrade or the kernel.
Try copying the fw upgrade only, then loading it on a DSlite, then waiting for a message telling you the upgrade was successful.

If you'll good to run r4i on DSL than you can go further and try to update card for newer firmware.

I'v got one model 2014 ( Fake one ) and update trought fake site ) It's working on 9.2 FW

It's exactly like this picture with "2014" wrote on it.

Have you tried another MicroSD card?
Is it formatted as FAT32?
Check disk manager and see if there are any small partitions in front of the main one.

Just tried updating my old R4 Gold Pro, and ran into the same issue. Turns out I was using a MicroSD card that I had an emuNAND partition on from using my Gateway with it. After deleting the partition and copying the kernel to it, it now works fine.
