Hacking R4 Problems

I recently bought an R4 (Im not sure which one) It has a Red insert thingy. It seems that its not a fake (It has the code and the little oval on the back) It was working perfectly before, but now when i try to load it, the r4 shows up on the DS menu but when i start it, it freezes with a white screen on the top and black screen on the bottom. It doesnt even load on the computer when i insert the micro SD on the computer. Does anybody know whats wrong?

Did you try reformatting the microsd card?

Or else: Maybe the card has gone bad....
