hey, i have rudolphs booting tool 1.9 on my ds and i used NOR mode to get a game flashed onto my ezflash 3 in 1 expansion.

the problem is, i dont want any games on there.... how do i delete a game off of it so there is no game flashed to the expansion pack?

Why? There's really no point to that.

    Google "Dummy File Maker"

Make a 32MB "Dummy File" (Filled with 00)

    Flash that to your NOR.

EDIT: Scratch that, I made the dummy file for you:

    http://www.sendspace.com/file/mcy1vw

    To do it yourself:

    Code:
    time dd if=/dev/zero of=dummy.gba bs=33554432 count=1

thanks, that gets it blank, so thats good.

but is that how it is when it comes in the original package? i mean, when you get the expansion pack brand new is there is it a dummy file or is it just empty?

Another way i've found is just let it start erasing the NOR by loading a new rom, then just as it gets towards 99% turn off power, there won't be anything to load then.

Won't that damage the battery or EZ Flash V 3-in-1?

i agree with madlobster, there's no point really... i understand if you're trying to sell it, otherwise, there really isn't a problem....

thank you all! one more question:

the game that i had on there was sonic advance 3, and i beat it but i didnt really care about the save so i flashed the dummy thing over it.

but, just for harder future games, is there a way to back up the sav file from the flashed cartridge? i couldnt find the sav file for sonic advance 3 before i over wrote it.

and what is so bad about PSRAM mode?

This is one of the most pointless threads I have read in ages.
WHY would you want to do this?

Can you please tell us the reason? I am very curious.

i like loading games through PSRAM, but thats because i dont quite understand the NOR saving/backing up process. once i figure that out i might go back to using NOR, but for now PSRAM is good... so i wanted to clear the NOR memory till i find out how to use it.

could you explain how? i beat sonic advance 3 in NOR and i couldnt find the sav file.

of course, it was only sonic advance 3 so i didnt care that much, but im more worried about games like zelda and castlevania.

how do i get the sav file?

Load another game into the NOR and it writes the sav file to the save directory.

Actually, that just erases the correct amount to flash the next ROM, so if you had a 256Mb Rom on your 3 in 1 and Turned off at 99% when flashing, say a 128Mb ROM, there would still be half the old ROM left.
