ok im going to buy a R4 DS can you guys tell me if im good to go is that memory good ? will i get slow down ? etc etc ..

AFAIK, nobody here got the R4 yet. I'd suggest waiting for the official reviews from Shaun and Costello, before you make your order

we received our R4 units a day ago, and I'll answer your questions:
- there is NO lag in castlevania

- the compatibility seems good so far, we haven't found any incompatible game

about the microSD card you're linking, I don't know what to say.
we've got a Sandisk Ultra II, which is supposed to be very fast (although the acekard has slowdowns with it)
I can't really help on that point unless you find a Sandisk Ultra II of course!

R4 is one of the most promising slot1 carts, I hope it's review comes up soon. I'm also looking forward to the new M3 cart, i dunno about the new slot 1 SuperCard though, first impressions from some people on this forum are mixed. I guess it all comes down the the final review and the last word from GBAtemp

Honestly, all these carts are pretty much the same. THey are all touting the exact same feature set. As a result, I honestly dont know which one to get. I want my SC cuz I'm familiar with the brand. I also wouldn't mind having this one. It looks cool and the price is definitely right!!!

the r4 ds also comes with a Micro SD Reader and a little carrying case and it was only 40 bucks !

i added a 512 mb Micro SD (12.99) and for around 55 bucks im in NDS backup heaven !


today they updated there OS and even added a christmas theme for ppl !

also on the R4 website they have a page that says that the a data micro sd memory was tested with the r4 and works fine !

I agree. The deciding factor for me - if all the reviews are pretty much the same - will be who I think will support the card the longest.
I would think a well-established company (like M3 or Supercard) will support the card for a very long time.
