U inspired me to learn something new today, lol
h**ps://hamradioprep . com / what-does-73-mean /
Hello.
Nice to read about your interest ;)

I have this report today:
I make syscheck and drop it to modwii.exe and it generate copy_to_sd folder with all required files for update.
Now what I am not sure what to do is should I copy this generated folder to new (clean) SD Card or should I copy to existing ?
My logic says that it should be on a clean card and start as a new installation.
Am I wrong or am I right ?

P.S. Continue to get interested in your optional new hobby :)

Either way should be fine. If merging be careful especially in the install WADs step not to install any other wads modmii doesn't list on your guide.

Job done successful. I made a copy of old sd card just in a case, and then delete it afterward followed by copy of modewii's prepared new sd card configuration . Following instructions created by modmii everything went fine. Now I have fresh moded wii console for my kids. :)
Now I will check how to move a dozen of games from wfbs formated usb flash to a bigger hdd, ntfs format, so I can put other new games (if you have link or tutorial it is welcome :) ).

It's listed in your modmii guide. Fat32 is recommended over ntfs, and Wii backup manager can be used to easily transfer from one to the other
I DL wfbs2fat and easy converted to fat32.
The only cons in this story about wii games on external hdd or usb flash is one small trick that almost nobody tells or do not know: What to do when you receive error message that usb drive is not initialised :) (in this situation that happens when converting to fat32). ?
Problem is very easy to solve, and interesting, it is mentioned only on place on whole net :)
Personally I trus Gparted as problem solver :)

Stay well.

can i brick my wii from using a usa wbfs file on a eu wii?
1. You mean game rom for usa region on WII with EU region ?
I supopse not because I have a lot of games for USA region .

2. You mean modding of wii to be able to read games from hdd or usb flash ?
You can brick it if you try to mode it and it is USA version of wii and you use EU required modding software on it and vice versa.

There are lot of guide manuals for modding your wii if you require.

Kirby's Return to Dreamland crashes after selecting a save file on Wiiflow, so I looked it up and found out it's because of metafortress, and all I needed to do was to put a file in the root of my SD card which did nothing at all. After a while, I reread the topic and found out I need to enable patches, so I redownloaded the file and replaced the one already on my SD card with, but things took a twist. Now when I launch WiiFlow, it would only show 2 games with their cover, (I have 15+ games on the card) and the rest have covers with a sandisk SD card and text that says "Loading". When I click on any of these games, the screen gets stuck and I have to hard reboot the Wii. WiiFlow also became absurdly slow while navigating between menus (homebrew apps, Wii games, GC games) and even between settings pages. I got stuck for a while downloading covers for the games, then realised I couldn't exit the menu, and even when I rebooted all of the covers were gone.
btw I have an ADATA micro SD with 128 gigs of storage.

I have a Korean Wii, 4.3U. I can't recall with certainty whether I had Priiloader installed before I got the Error 003. Does anyone know if I can recover this brick? - If yes, how?
I may have a chipped drive on hand, from a separate cracked Wii.

Basically yeah, except once you have homebrew access you would want to do 1 or both of the following
- run Korean kii to remove the Korean key from the seeprom
- install a patched Ios60v6174 to slot 80

ModMii would have u do both of the above when region changing, but even just 1 would be enough to prevent 003 bricks. Next time consider using modmii to softmod or region change.

I suppose instead of the above u could also clear the 003 brick by changing regions back to K, but I doubt that's what u want.

I updated WFL from 5.5.3 to 5.5.4-1, and installed the new boot.dol to my priiloader autobot, and now Wii games just return to the Wii menu. GameCube games boot fine still. I noticed my cios in WFL is set to auto now and I think it was something different before, but I tried 249 and 250 still no boot. What should I do?

Hi, I just dusted off my Wii and found that the installed Neogamma is slightly outdated. I want to bring everything up to date, but I'm a bit overwhelmed by the choices and what I really need to do.
What I want to achieve is:
- Play Wii game backups
- Play Gamecube ROMs
- Play older Nintendo ROMs
What do I need to (re)install? Which Loader is the "best" (that includes easiest to use, I don't want and need to modify things for hours)

I just would remod it, by following either ModMii https://gbatemp.net/threads/best-wa...i-for-windows-official-support-thread.207126/ or https://wii.hacks.guide/ . For "Loader", Wiiflow Lite or USBLoaderGX it is today. Both are good. Wiiflow supports plugins for retro games, if you prefere that. You gonna need Nintendont for GC, but Wiiflow or USBLoaderGX can be used as an frontend for that.
