    Hi All,

When ixtreme 1.6 is released it says something about ripping games directly.
Does anyone know how this will work?
Like how will the game info get from the xbox360 drive to the pc?
Can i just connect a network lead and stream from the xbox360?
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers

From my understanding it works just like a kreon drive does, just with your actual 360 drive. If this happens, I might get a blaster360 or something similar. Seems like it'd be useful for dumping games.

I think he's wondering about the connection between the 360 and PC (which now I am wondering about). Probably through the network or USB, hopefully nothing crazy like taking the drive out of the Xbox.

v1.51 and v1.6 are the same security wise and everything else except 1.6 has the option to back up games with 0800 function and to enable this you connect the drive up to your pc by Sata (so yes take it out everytime) I think to enable 0800 you pop in a special disk and then afterwards you can rip games to your hard drive

This is where the blaster360 comes in handy. It actually extends the dvd drive's sata cable to make it external. This way you don't have to take apart the Xbox every time you want to dump a game. If I was using the Xbox as my primary game dumper, I'd definitely purchase one.

When you say rip games to your hard drive do you mean from the dvd drive of the xbox 360 to the internal hard drive?
Is there anything else that will be different with 1.6 over 1.51?

    Cheers

No, you rip the games to the hard drive of your computer. You then obviously burn the games onto a dual layer disc to play. You could back up the games to your internal hard drive from the disc with the new dashboard, but that's a different topic.

So how do you connect the xbox360 to your pc to rip games or will the xbox360 have to be opened?
Is there anything else that will be included in 1.6?

    Cheers

will the blaster360 work on all drives? I know that's dumb to ask, but i thought there were problems with the Samsung drives syncing or something.

Why do you have to take the drive out? Can't you just power it from the 360 like a Blaster does? So just opening it and removing the SATA cable should be enough.

I'm glad that I did not flash my XBOX yet..since 1.6 will be coming out..any idea as to when it will be released? This week hopefully..when this update comes out, will it enable all these games to be played without any issue..such as h a w x and other games that I have been reading about..

The new 1.6 will be a permanent fix to the new "wave 3" video formatting.
I think the direct game backup is just a bonus they've been working on.
Pretty sure the ETA is "when it's out."

so the 360 blaster... works with all dvd drives?

Will the games HAWX and MLB 2k9 work with IXtreme 1.51 because I have read conflicting stories on that..I know it did not work with 1.5 but since its already 1.51 will it work..or do I have to wait for 1.6 for those two games to work..are those the only two games that seem to have issues?

The 1.51 is a quick fix until 1.6 comes out, from what i understand.
The only problem with using 1.51 is ixtreme's disc checker has been changed/disabled so running bad discs is a possability
