Homebrew [QUESTION] Why isn't there a way to load DS games off of the SD card yet?

If I understand right, the problem isn't the rom, but the way the system reads the data, therefore the need of modifying the system and so on

the issue is the code on ds roms says specifically to load everything from the gamecart.
He is suggesting a program that would patch all this code to instead load from the SD.
In theory its doable. There were a few programs back in the earliest days of ds flashcards that patched the games to load from Slot-2(GBA flashcard)
