Have you experienced bans by playing online on .cias?

Because I'm installing a bunch and I would like to know if no-flashcart way is more safer than flashcart way...

As long as you don't have any out-of-region CIAs used online, blatantly cheating, or using romhacks, everything should be fine. Meanwhile, for flashcarts, you have to use private headers in your ROM files to play online, which is another extra step, which is not only annoying, but has a possibility that you mess up and get banned.

There wouldn't be any bans. .CIAs are taken as if they're legit eshop games. So basically, there is no risk of ban.

Bans are unlikely, and only temporary in the extremely unusual rumored cases.

Cia files are safer than a flashcart as it's signed for your unique console during install, as opposed to using a header like on a cart, where someone could sign on with the same header resulting in a ban.

No problem, just try to do your research next time! Search bar would've helped in this case.

I yet have to hear from some one who's been banned for using out of region cias , though I always get cias for my region .

but there are games like rhythm tengoku which don't have a region free patch yet
I'm afraid of using it online hahaha

It's safe to use other-region games, rom hacks, and cheats as long as you do not take them online, correct?

I use out of region cia's all the time online. Still not banned after all these years since my old 4.5 cfw days. Using other region games don't get you banned.

I also play many Jap cia games on my euro 3ds online and have yet to be banned so I am either extremely lucky or people only get banned for cheating online like a lot of people keep saying

Most claims of out of region banning are from people who don't realize they can't access that foreign game's online content with their systems local region not matching the game releases.

This is the case with Hyrule Warriors and a ton of people claiming to be banned from it.

    behind a parental advisory sticker
. . . its not the fact that it is a out of region game its the fact that it is an unreleased game in that region . . . with region locked consoles and no usa or eu version of the game (like monster hunter x) it becomes apparent who is violating the tos we all agreed to
