Hacking [Question] The fastest way to install any CIA

Is your SD card formatted "the right way" ?
I have no idea what's "the right way" but when my O3DS's SD was formatted with GW's menu and my N3DS's SD was formatted with Windows (both Samsung EVO class 10), the N3DS would take several hours to install even a 200 MB file while the O3DS would take minutes for the same thing. And when I formatted the N3DS's SD with GW's menu, the N3DS's install speed became reasonable. So I guess there is a right way and a wrong way.

Well if your just looking for speed then soon2 is the fastest cia installer (there's literally proof in the Original post of soon2 thread) but there's defiantly something wrong if it takes all night to install only 7

I've installed 12 games all at once 2 of which are 4 gigs and the rest 500mb to 2gb during my sleep which is 8-10 hours so something is wrong with your card.

So uhh yeah this is my list. Not all, but it is the 27 I mentioned earlier. Very slow process.
So what is the fastest? DevMenu, BBM, or SOON2?

Btw, those are like 3gb and 1gb games, those always will take forever. CIA stands for CTR Installable (Importable) Archive, it's like a .zip. Except that the 3DS needs to actually get files, encrypt them and the install them on a very weak processor, so if you're installing retail games, ESPECIALLY games of that scale, all at once, it will take that long.

Now does setting it to "Install and delete CIA" slow it down even more compared to "Install CIA"? I'm assuming it must.

the delete is in the end of each install which is like 10 sec per cia

i'm installing right now a large cia(2,40gb)with SOON!2 2.2(last)without progress bar and the option of deleting the cia at the end,obiously i start chronometring all the process,soon(lol)i post my results

results: n3ds microsdxc 64gb class10 uhs-1 samsung,total installation time: 23mins, 30secs,with deleting cia included,not bad uh?

it's great, it usually takes me around 6 hrs

I use BigBlueMenu and it works WAY faster than FBI or DevMenu could only wish to go.

Is BBM actually faster than FBI? I haven't really noticed that.

I have found the new FBI, 2.2.0 and 2.2.1 are faster than BigBlueMenu (Title Manager)

Yup. I just updated my injected FBI instance and they are noticeably faster and much nicer to look at.

Also less susceptible to arbitrary bricking (at least in your case).

As far as slow install speeds, given that laundry list, it's not entirely surprising (especially if your SD card isn't up to par) that install on that list of games is taking a while, especially if they happened to have installed in the order they were listed in the post above...

i've encoutered a problem installing one cia snes vc injection with soon!2 pratically it tells me to install the game,i push yes with deleting after done,and no game was installed and the cia was deleted,i retry with fbi 2.2.1 and all gone perfect..i think i stick with FBI at this rate,havin a folder full of cover.png is not what i say "convenient" in terms of space,but great work in any case with soon!2
