    Wouldn't you like to know?
Is the repeated or frequent use of the Homebrew Launcher dangerous for the 3DS? Sometimes I experience strange side effects while exiting the Homebrew Launcher (these include a momentary black screen on the home menu, only to revert back to its normal status a few seconds later. Sound can be heard though.). I believe I've heard that it does no permanent damage to the software, as it is userland. Has anybody else experienced these issues?
(I have an o3ds with the firmware of 10.1.0-27U)

Things will look weird. Nothing is being broken or damaged.

AFAIK, using this (in a normal way) would be as dangerous as using some original 3ds game/app, because most of the homebrew is running only on user mode and through a 3DS original app/game.

Well, I'm not sure if this problem I have was caused of using homebrew or not, but after a couple of weeks after using a homebrew 3DS, whenever I try exiting to the Home Menu from Smash, it freezes there (and the only way to turn it off is holding the power button). Also, when I try turning off my 3DS when in Smash, it shuts downs significantly faster than before.
I have not used HANS with Smash other than save editing, and that's been some time ago. Other than that, my 3DS works fine, and Smash works fine. The only problem is that and some troubles connecting online (but I think that's due to the update or something).

Are you using (Home)MenuHax with autoboot?... Problem is only with Smash game?

Yeah, actually. Half of the times I open HBL is through MenuHax (other half is IronHax). AFAIK, it only affects Smash. I haven't played many other games lately.

I think possibly that's your problem: Using MenuHax with autoboot, because all time you try to return to Home Menu, the exploit tries to load itself too, but finally result is console freezed... Disabling the autoboot option, fixes that problem.

Anything that isn't doing things to the NAND will not have any permanent effects on your 3ds. It's all in the SD card.

Autoboot is the option to automatically boot HBL without holding a button when booting, right? If so, then that can't be the case because I don't have it enabled.
Even if that were the case, it's still kinda odd how turning off the game from Smash takes much less time than what it should take (I've done it before and it's a pretty big difference)

Yeah, it is... And, what a weird that you said happens, then!

I thought about autoboot because I have that issue in the past, but, NVM.

I guess it'll be a mystery then. Besides, I guess I can call this as a positive thing. I can still exit to the home menu properly if I press the power button, then go to the home menu from there. So, basically, I can shut down Smash faster now. I guess that's neat. XD

If I'm correct, that's just the hax setting up the framebuffer for display. It's not harmful in any way.

Smash is going to be wonkier than most.

There's a good chance MH4U would do the exact same thing due to how they handle memory.
