Hello, I have a new problem: I have 2 neon blue Joycon but only one Rail on my switch has a working connector cable. I do not yet have $7 in amazon to buy a replacement rail, and my touchscreen is not working. Is there any way to pair my right joycon to my switch with no access to any buttons other than - , ^,<,>,V,and the thumbstick and screenshot button?

Because once you boot up the switch, the joycons are in vertical mode always. The left joycon gives you no possibility to change grip or start anything at all. Combine that with a broken touchscreen and you are out of luck...

Questions which arise:
- how does one break the touchscreen?
- why does one add the joycon rail in the mix?
- why would somebody buy that of ebay?

Also you need to make sure to not have a dock and a pro controller, otherwise you could do USB pairing

Damn that sucks big time - The Switch supports other USB controllers if you have any (and a dock or OTG cable).
