And I wanted to know what special precautions should I take to downgrade it to 9.2

I don't know in which version will it come, but I'm assuming 9.8 or so. What do you think it will go best:

a) Julian's Sysupdater up to 10.3 then Safesysupdater to 9.2
b) Direct 9.8~ to 9.2 using Safesysupdater
c) Direct 9.8~ to 9.2 using Julian's Sysupdater
d) Direct 9.8~ to 9.2 using tuxsh's Sysupdater linkhax/SUlib version

Given I have only one chance to make it right, is it too risky?

I would guess A, but I haven't downgraded any consoles yet. I think it was mainly tested on 10.3, no?

Yes it was. And "New" systems are specially delicate with downgrades.

If you're super nervous about it I would just get a Nand mod done first.

I guess you could even go one step further: update to 10.3, format it so you have a completely fresh slate (make sure there's no update nag) and then downgrade, but this is territory I'm not familiar with, so take my guess with a grain of salt.

Not that nervous, but I will not keep the system afterwards. Not for myself. Better be safe than sorry.
