Hacking Question, can I restore gateway nand backup with the go exploit on 9.5?

You can't, even if you have a GW card you can't.
You need a HW modification to do that.

Why don't you use emunand?

Erm... Are you sure?
Well, I don't know for sure, but I tought your saves were reseted ONLY if you updated or downgraded SYSNAND (above or below FW6.0 I think).
So, they shouldn't reset because of updating only EMUNAND.

I tried it and went back, there was a bug where it would load the wrong keys and if I booted any game it would tell me the save file was corrupt.

Maybe it's been fixed since then but I don't know.
