ROM Hack [Question] Animal Crossing: New Leaf Hourly BGM

I just wanted to ask if anyone knows if the hourly background music in Animal Crossing: New Leaf is replaceable by for example the Wild World version. Or is it hard coded into the game aka. not possible?

Has anyone tried modifying it yet?

I tried modifying some stuff in ACNL, but I couldn't get HANS to load the Romfs. I'm sure everything is editable, but I think you'll need a flashcart to load the romhack.
