Hardware Question about Wii USB Ports & USB Microphone

Quick question, it's more for wife and kids and I don't have the answer

I understand you have to have your USB flash drive (back up's) plugged into the main usb port (the right sided one looking at the back straight on)

They want a usb microphone to play the singing games because the Playstation singstar usb ones don't work, google says it has to be nintendo ones

What I need to know is, if we do buy a microphone will it also require that main right hand usb port ? OR will it work in the other one ???

If it needs the port the usb flash drive is plugged into their's no point us buying the microphone

It will work with the other port as well

That’s not correct, you can use all microphones.

I use a Konami one and it works fine.

You need to change the iOS in the USB loader you use. I’m not Shure what kind of iOS it was because I’m using a Wii U
