question about which official firmware i should install and upgrading my sd card

im currently using 128gb sd card and will be upgrading to 256gb sd card and will be installing the official firmware (on the emunand) again together with atmosphere. which official firmware should i install that will not give me alot of trouble if used with atmosphere

Just pick the latest 15.0.0 and use exFat of course you use latest hekate + atmosphere

Formatting to exfat will give sooner or later issues (data corrupt). Use fat32 like @Shadow#1 says. Furthermore if you upgrade to fw 15 make sure you have the correct sigpatches if needed.

why 15 and not 14.1.2?

Because it is currently the newest released firmware by nintendo that is supported by Athmosphere. There might be games and/or updates that might require the firmware, so there is no reason not to pick the newest firmware.

Also, on another note: maybe consider upgrading to an even bigger SD-card. I did the same as you are planning right now (upgrade from 128 to 256) and ended up upgrading again to 400GB. Save yourself the hassle and do it properly the first time.

what guide do you guys recommend i follow. i saw on the pinned topic it suggest a guide that i used when i first hacked my switch but later people recommend i used the rentry guide ( which was removed then reuploaded again iirc) (some nh-server) which i did but want to know your opinion is on the multiple guides found on the internet

I only set exFat as the option just in case he used exFat originally. We don't want that guy being I can't use my fucking SD card after the upgrade.

I've been using exfat as long as it's been supported on the switch and never had issues of any sort.
