Hacking Question about updating firmware and DLC Sky3ds

So is it safe to update to current 3DS firmware and go online to download the new Monster Hunter DLC?
or will doing something like that get me banned from the network?

Hmm Sky had a tool for this, anyway, u need a valid Online-Header to use online functions, without > no online gaming.

AFAIK, it does not need to be a online-header, I've seen people saying that it does work with private headers of games that does not have online functionatily.

As for ' AFAIK ' you didn't test it. I did with a few games of mine, offline didnt work > Nintendo errormessage.

I simply do not believe nintendo has a filter on headers (online/offline)... I'll test it soon

Gateway ROM Patcher displayed for my buyed retail cartridges (Fantasy Life/Pokemon/SSB) i dumped inconsistencies, the fixed didnt work online, without change it worked.

At least there is a check if the data does match for using it online. Enough hijacking this thread.
