Hacking Question about R4 font

Id eventually like to create some of my own skins but providing I can use the R4 logo in them.
Did the R4 team use a random font and then splice the 4 together with the R or is this a real font?
I've looked maybe just a little to much into this and if anyone could help me out I'd appreciate it.

Some practical uses for this would be using gradients on the logo
and my personal reason is just to be able to resize the image.
Thanks to all those who can give some information.

The font I use is URWBookmanL DemiBold for the R. They seem to have scooped out some of the 2nd leg on the R.
Can't figure out the font for the 4 though...

    That's one of the issues I have with ecchi stuff recently, it focuses too much on the sexual aspect, not the comedy effect.
