ROM Hack Question about .nds and .nds.gba...

I've seen a lot of homebrew have both of these formats. What's the difference between the two of them?

.nds is your nds file.. and .nds.gba is the gba file... it's like that though cause they most likely designed the program to work on the nds but afterwards figgured they should make a gba port as well... get it?.....

Usually the .nds.gba file works on a supercard and just needs the .gba dropping to work.

.nds.gba is a .nds file, but with a GBA header, and a NDS loader prepended.

Some flashcarts/devices need .nds (GBAMP for ex), some need .ds.gba(old-style GBA flashcarts for ex), some will work with either (M3 for ex)
