Hi, I recently got my M3 Real and so far it has been great, I had one problem at the beginning in which it didn't access the folder I picked...however I have fixed it now.

I' am however having some issues with games on the Genesis and GBA,some file names are far too long and when I got games that have sequels to it,well it gets messy.

I was wondering if it's safe to rename my roms?I want to name it to something that is easier to understand....for example:

Original:

1.2467 - Super Robot Taisen - Original Generation
2.2580 - Super Robot Taisen - Original Generation 2

As you can see, in the DS it only reaches up to Tai and just cuts off

and sometimes I do a guessing game and hope I picked the right game I want to play.

Is there a tool to change the names or even if it's safe to do it manually, I don't mind....just as long as it's doable.

Thanks.

I never use numbers in my naming ... I prefer to use the alphabest lol

All my roms are called by their proper names, or a suitable contraction

So, the afroementioned roms would be called

Super Robot Taisen OG
Super Robot Taisen OG 2

I see and you have not had any issues thus far, like saving? If so,I'm honestly going to copy you

No worries ... just make sure that if the rom already hasa save file, to re-name the save file to the exact same name as the rom.

I have always just used proper name for my roms ... and it's always fine ... the file names don't matter, as long as they match the name of their save file.

I prefer to name them Name (Region).nds

It doesn't matter if you rename them, name them anything you ike (apart from if you've created a save you'll have to rename it as mentioned above.)
