Hacking Question about cheats

There is cheats for a european game thats also out in the US, but no cheats for the US version. It is the same exact thing, so can I just change the game id to work tihe the US game?

Depends. Some offsets might have changed. Tell us what game, at least.

EDIT: Why not download the EU game...? Saves are often more transferrable than cheats...

It is the Urbz. There are cheats for the eu rom but not the usa one.
