Well since I don't like to steal games, I was thinking about buying Onslaught from the Shop Channel. One thing I noticed was that if you wanted to install the WAD, you also needed to install an Ios 55.

The thing is, if I buy Onslaught, will it force me to update anything on my wii before it becomes playable? If so, is it safe?

I run a 4.0 system menu with some cios.

    Thanks.

It shouldn't. I'm running 4.0 with a downgraded IOS (to download WADs) and Onslaught has worked fine. And I actually bought Onslaught on the store.

Did you buy Onslaught whilst your wii had the downgrade IOS? or before?

Before, but it shouldn't matter. I've played it after and if it required a new IOS that my downgraded one doens't have then it wouldn't play or my Wii would brick or something. And neither of those have happened.

When you buy a game and don't have the IOS it uses, it will be installed with the download together. The problem is, that this doesn't work for WADs.
