If both the first vulnerable boot1 and the new fixed boot1 are signed by Nintendo, can we not replace the new one with the vulnerable one?

Maybe you had better chances brute forcing the hash for BootMii boot2 installation. I'm still waiting for numbers on how long it would take for let's say 1000 PCs.

It uses SHA-1 hash, which has already been cracked. (http://www.h-online.com/security/Hash-crac.../features/75686)
But I think that even with in-depht crypro analysis know-how it won't be an easy job!

By the way: "hacked" means, that the sum of calcs for an successful attack was reduced from 2^80 to 2^69.
2^69 means there are 590.295.810.358.705.651.712 calculations to do.

Have fun !
