i know that u can do a nand backup incase the wii gets bricked but if i restore it, will my save files still be there or do i have to use the save files from when i did a nand backup
No your save files will be reverted to that time as well. You should either just make new nand backups before you do anything that could possibly brick your wii or at least backup your save progress beforehand.
