Hacking QUESTION: 2DS 8.1 -> 9.0/2 -> homemenuhax -> rxTools Autoboot ?

I heard that we can autoboot CFW's via homemenuhax now, so I want to know/know how to do some things:

- Get my system nand from 8.1 to 9.0/2 safely
- Configure homemenuhax to autoboot rxTools

I have a Gateway too if it would make this endevour easier/possible. Also, will this hinder my ability to use the sysnand at all, or is there still a way to access it after autoboot is installed?

A mod has to edit the title. You can report the thread and ask them to do it for you.

I heard sysUpdater is really sketchy though when you use it with sysnand?

That might work unless he has a Japan console.

Can I use Gateway classic mode and a .3ds game? USA console.

If it's to update your sysnand, just pop the game with 9.2 system update in your 3ds while in sysnand and start it, no need to boot anything gateway
Just be sure the game has a 9.2 update and not higher

only flashcarts like Gateway can run .3ds format and you can't update sysnand using gateway + a rom or you'll get bricked due to firmlaunch if I'm not mistaken.

Does a 2DS qualify as an "old 3DS" for system menu update cia's?

Edit: Ran it anyway, worked great! Now I need to know how to install rxTools autoboot.

Seems you figured it out, but, yes it does, but never downgrade it to a lower firmware then 6.x or you have a bricked 2DS if you ever decide to format the system.
