Homebrew Q: What version of Smash do I get if I buy it today on eshop? (USA)

The 1.1.0 pcap is for the eshop 1.1.0 version. My cartridge is 1.1.0 unpatched, which is different.

Doesn't matter what it's named, as long as you're using the right one.

No, no it did not. Also, is it an Old 3ds or New 3ds? Keep in mind, smashbroshax isn't stable. Oh God, I'll never forget trying to get it to run for the first time. Hours I'll never get back. But, once you run it, it becomes easier and easier.

No, no it did not. Also, is it an Old 3ds or New 3ds? Keep in mind, smashbroshax isn't stable. Oh God, I'll never forget trying to get it to run for the first time. Hours I'll never get back. But, once you run it, it becomes easier and easier.

Yeah, exactly. The 1.1.0 pcap worked for you, but it won't work for me. I bought a cartridge that has 1.1.0 built-in, which happens to require a different pcap then the one for the eshop version. I don't think that anyone has built the required pcap as of yet.

I'm on a N3DS. Now it's working fine with 1.0.1.

put the pcap in src/pcap_out
./smashhax.sh

As far as getting homebrew, yup. Having a hard time downgrading it though. PlaiSysUpdater doesn't seem to work for me.

Though, did you try it yourself? I read something about how the thing doesn't work when using smashhax as an entry point specifically, though I'm still going to give it a shot right now.

Well, then I guess I can help you! I just thought maybe you weren't using a proper build or something. I remember downloading this from GBATemp a while back on a thread declaring 10.7 --> 9.2 was a thing.

I will say that SBH never worked with downgrading. I tried all versions of sysUpdater and SafeSysUpdater on 10.6 and they never got past Hax Init. I ended up just using SBH as an entrypoint to install OoTHAX on a Nintendo Select OoT. Now I have a9lh and don't have to worry about any of that though

When you get your hands on the script, copy it to your root directory, then open a terminal and enter "sudo chmod +x ./smashhax.sh"

Yeah, that's what I was fearing. I did see that someone succeeded in downgrading first to 10.5 using smashhax and then using menuhax to go down to 9.2, which I'm trying to do right now, though it doesn't seem to be working for me either.
