Or find a 1.0.0 copy of SmashBros. even if this will be difficultIf SmashHax doesn't work out, you could always pick up the Nintendo Selects version of Ocarina of Time and use OoTHax on it. You'll just need a save adapter or an already hacked 3ds.

When was this? And is this US?My copy was downloaded on 1.0...
- v1.0.0. USA: supported+tested. "gameother": supported+tested.
- v1.0.1. USA: supported+tested.
- v1.0.2. USA: supported, not tested.
- v1.0.4. USA: supported+tested. "gameother": supported, not tested.
- v1.0.5. USA: "supported". The target heap address for overwriting the target object varies, hence this hax doesn't actually work right with this version. This version is not fully supported due to this.
- v1.1.0. USA: supported+tested. "gameother": supported+tested.
- v1.1.1. USA: supported+tested. "gameother": supported+tested.
- v1.1.2. USA: supported+tested. "gameother": supported+tested.
I'm confused, SmashHax works with 1.1.0 according to github so what's the problem?
Ah, makes sense. Then yeah it seems your only option is to get another Smash Bros cartridge or borrow one from a friend.Basically, the v1.1.0 pcap file was created using the eshop 1.1.0 update, which happens to be different from the 1.1.0 version of the game built in 1.1.0 cartridges.

I don't think the eShop merges the update with the game when it downloads it. I redownloaded Smash because I was on 1.1.3 and trying to to smashbroshax, and it redownloaded the normal 1.0.1 eShop version. Carts will have the game merged with the update, but shop shouldn't.
That sounds like great news. So, just to clarify, you definitely redownloaded the whole game, as opposed to just delete your Update folder?
Yes. I can try again right now to confirm policy hasn't changed, as that was at least 2 weeks ago, but that's what I know currently.
If you'd like to do that I'd appreciate it a great deal, I'm pretty scared of buying the wrong version of the game a second time. Though if it worked 2 weeks ago I think that it should still work. Do you happen to have a copy of the pcap you used?
Mewtwo update. When was this? And is this US?
Can you please tell me how you got to homebrew using 1.0.1, I am literally dying over here trying to get to homebrew using smashhaxThis is now Solved, thanks to DeadlySin9.
I just bought the game on the eShop and received the USA 1.0.1 version. Successfully used SmashHax to gain access to the homebrew launcher.
Thanks to everyone for your help.
Sure, where are you at in the process? Can you please tell me how you got to homebrew using 1.0.1, I am literally dying over here trying to get to homebrew using smashhax
What the hell are you talking about? The smashhax repo comes with the pre-built pcap output for 1.1.0, in fact I use it personally.Trying to get smashhax working.
I bought a cartridge of Smash which ended up being USA 1.1.0, which I can't find a pcap for (this is different from the USA 1.1.0 eshop update).
If I buy the game on eshop right now, what version will it be?
Well I'm using smashbroshax helper and I'm already dual booted my laptop to use ubuntu, I just don't have the 1.0.1 pcap file, because I can't get any other version of Smash BrosSure, where are you at in the process?
The 1.1.0 pcap is for the eshop 1.1.0 version. My cartridge is 1.1.0 unpatched, which is different. What the hell are you talking about? The smashhax repo comes with the pre-built pcap output for 1.1.0, in fact I use it personally.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean, I have the cartridge version. Am I missing something here? Also, what is your firmware version? N3ds or O3ds?The 1.1.0 pcap is for the eshop 1.1.0 version. My cartridge is 1.1.0 unpatched, which is different.
