Sure idc if you do thing differently. But logic dictates that if it's dark you'd want some light around you??? I want my screen bright esp when im in bed.

Yea I have it on all of my handheld devices. My phone even has a "extra dim" feature. Without it, even the lowest brightness hurts my eyes in dark environments
You probably dont have sensitive eyes then. Bright ass lights burn my eyes and it feels like death. Lowest brightness possible at night is what I need lol
Conserving battery over better screen quality could be a thing ofc if you are on the go. But if you are often or constantly at the charger with it or close to one... why not take the better brightness?

How are you gonna get burned eyes if the only light source around you is just that one thing which is not enough to brighten a room. lol. Be luminance as your name suggest!!??
Makes total sense then. If i'd travel i might do the same. or pack a battery pack with me and be just like whatever.
But lots of people also just use it for couch/toilet/bed gaming

i like the idea of a monochrome one for heavy light conditions, maybe i could make it automatically switch to that with a setting that enables monitoring of the light condition through the camera
