Hacking [Q] Is there any way to import MH powersave savefile to Gateway 3DS?

Hey,

My friend lost about 70h of gameplay on his new3DS with Gateway 3DS and Monster Hunter 4U. Is there any way to dump a savefile from a retail card to powersave and import it via savedatafiler to Gateway?

why not just backup the savegame using the option in the gateway menu, then i believe you can rename it to some rom related code, and then the rom will recognize it as a save file.

The savefile from the Powersave dump, is the one of a friend. The retail cartridge from the friend, is not available to me because he doesn't live nearby. So all I have is a dumped backup save from his retail cardtridge using powersave and I need to import it with GW. It's a ".bin" file - so no usual .sav file
