Hacking [Q] Can I get banned for Playing Pokemon US/UM legit on a modified system?

Hi, I'm very interested on buying Pokemon Ultra Moon, but I've heard of ban waves for playing that game. So I would like to ask you if the ban problem comes from playing a pirated copy or for playing on cfw, I wouldn't like paying for my ban.

Those were people playing games that were leaked before release, technically any modified system is at risk of ban, but as long as you're not cheating online, you should be fine

Thanks for the reply , but I almost sure I read that after that banwave, playing online (again, idk if with pirated copy or cfw) for a long time is a high chance of ban, isn't that true?
