I was Watching Star Wars Rebels Yesterday and my jaw dropped hearing lugia the beast of the sea's voice. Perhaps Purgil's are the beasts of the universe

first i was like: doesn't look anything like lugia
neither does sound like lugia...
but then i remember, i should check lugia's in the pokemon movie since i only know the cry from the games. and lel, i see the it's real close!
but both do ressemble like a generic whales sound effect

I had seen Pokemon 2000 before playing g/s/c but Yea Whales make beautiful sounds though oddly enough I remembered Dragonite making a similar sound during bills lighthouse.
It makes me wonder what other creatures in cartoons have used whales.

heh, i notice and bothers me when the mario coin or sonic ring noises are used in 99.99% in web browser mini games, sometimes even in shitgames in the app store, or animations for small children in the baby tv channelsIt really amazes me how people notice such small things
whale sounds is also very widely used by monsters in cartoons...
I can't say I have noticed much whale noises with monsters I just always crossed that one noise as lugia's. Hearing you say that makes me kinda feel silly, but the internet does that.
I Haven't played to many web mini games or app store games, but I've seen plenty of reused game monsters like Grandia2's Hellhounds are a low level monster in Tera. I have a sega dreamcast, but it's only recently I've started playing Sonic forces. I used to watch Sonic X every Saturday.
