Homebrew Purchasing a 3DS console capable of homebrrw

I was thinking of buying a 3DS to get homebrew on etc. and I was wondering would I need to get a specific bundle (such as the PS4 which requires 1.76) and if I do which one will be cheapest. I don't want the original 2DS as I don't like the way it looks and functions

Every single 3DS model is homebrew-capable if you purchase a NTRBoot-compatible flashcart- whatever firmware version you're on.

You can save 20 bucks though if you can figure out if it's under 11.4 or not.
