I have a few questions about my PSP. Please, forgive me my knowledge obout it
smile.gif

1. If I have PSP Slim with 3.80 CF, will my Video output feature work?
2. Pandora Battery. How do You charge it? Is it safe for PSP to charge it in it?
3. Will Pandora Battery and Magic stick work on every PSP and PSP Slim? Are there any Exepctions (motherboard number)?

That's all for now. Thank you for answers in advance.

1. The PSP under custom firmware functions exactly as well as it would under official firmware so yes I assume you can use the video output.

2. Dunno (Charge before you tamper with the battery perhaps?) I believe you should be able to charge it no problems.

3. Yes.

So I have got more questions:
1. How to compress ISO into CSO? What Software do I need?
2. How to play PS1 games on my PSP with my CF? Do I need Dev Hook?
3. Many time a game or software is in EBOOT.pbp format. How to make it run?

1. Get an ISO compressor, I recommend YACC, or Yet Another CSO Compressor.

2. There are converters out there, you'll need the EBOOT.PBP from an already converted game, you don't need Dev Hook.

3. Put it in PSP>Game>(The name of the game who's EBOOT you're trying to run). For example, I have a GBA emulator called gpSP, my folder structure works like PSP>GAME>gpSP> where gpSP's EBOOT.PBP is in the gpSP folder.

2. Is there any site with ripped PSP music (some games have excellent tunes)
3. Can someone post Surf's up save game with everything unlocked?
Can't find it anywhere.

P.S. Thank You MC DUI, jalaneme, HyoImowano and xalphax

1 & 2) Try Galbadia Hotel, it has hundreds of VG soundtracks, you might find what you're looking for there. If not, check their VG music forums and ask if someone there has it.

3) I couldn't find a gamesave for Surf's Up, but I did find a list of cheats you can input to unlock most of everything here.

Guys, you're great
smile.gif
Thank You.
Unfortunately, I have more:

1. Surfs Up game that I have has no cheat mode in main menu (at least I can't find it). That's way I asked for save. When I was younger my favorite game was Snowboard kids on N64. What games on PSP are like That? I mean, Mario Kart or Snowboard kids?

2. I run NES emulator, but Super Mario Game was to fast (music and everything). How to make it more accurate?

3. In Wolf3d demo I can't make full screen. Is it because it's a demo?

4. I have Pandora with Magic stick 3.77 -2. If I want to upload 3.80 can I go directly from 3.77-2 or should I go thru 3.77 -4 (according to my friend)? Can I make magic stick to install 3.80 directly?

5. When I installed 3.77 I had to change all default settings in Recovery Menu. Is there any way to set them up on magic stick before installing??

i can only answer 2 of your questions as i am not into homebrew and have never played surfs up. but i am sure that there are some CWCheat codes for surfs up floating around the net somewhere for that game.

4. the new DCv4 is the one you want to install 3.80m33-5 dire3ctly. but you might want to think about putting in a ELF menu so you have the option of both DCv3 and DCv4 along with other useful tools like the cory`s nandtool.

5. there is none that i know of that will allow you to do that. but if you are updating then you usually dont have to worry about it. when i upgraded from 3.71m33-4 to 3.80m33 all my settings remained the same.

Wow. Would you explain me what's that ELF and cory nandtool?

I tried to update another PSP to 3.80 from the same memory stick and I can't! It's shows
The system configuration on this PSP does not appear to be correct.
...
(DRNFFFFFFD&)

What should I do? I did it before and there was no problems!
Help!

ELF are sets of hombrew programs that can use without accessing the XMB. so what the elf menu does on the magic memory stick allows you to use those programs. on my magic memorystick i have the nand tool, pandora, DCv3, DCv4.

with DCv3/4 when they make a nand dump they make a physical dump of the nand. if you have a perfect nand one day and all of a sudden you have a bad sectors on your nand, using your original perfect nand dump made by DCv3/4 is very dangerous and might brick your psp as it will always try to write to the bad blocks in the nand. so what cory`s nandtool does is it makes a nand dump and in stead of writing everything physically back onto the nand. it writes it back logically, so it writes around the bad sectors.

which memory stick do you have? DCv3 or DCv4? if your on DCv3 i recommend installing 3.71mm3-2 off that memory stick and go up to 3.71m33-4. then updating to 3.80m33-5. whith DCv4 just install 3.80m33-5 straight from the stick. DCv3/4 will format the flash and install everything for you pretty easily.

if you want to have the ELF menu on your magic memory stick download this

http://www.mediafire.com/?2tcb312xlig

extract the contents to your magic stick and overwrite.
I didn't include the sony PBP files
150.PBP
340.PBP
371.PBP
380.PBP
150.PBP RENAME to UPDATE.PBP
all needs to be at ROOT of MS

Thank to Delta123 I upgraded my PSP to 3.80 m33-5 (Thanx pal!)
I don't know what settings are best in recovery menu but I have
Skip Sony Logo (currently: Enabled)
Hide corrupt icons (currently: Enabled)
Game folder homebrew (currently: 1.50 Kernel)
Autorun program at /PSP/GAME/BOOT/EDBOOT.PBP (currently: Disabled)
UMD Mode (currently: M33 driver -NO UMD-)
Fake region (currently: Disabled)
Free UMD Region (currently: Disabled)
Hard Reset on homebrew (currently: Disabled)
Use VshMenu (currently: Enabled)
XMB Usb Device (currently: Memory Stick)
Charge battery when USB cable plugged (currently: Disabled)
Use M33 network update (currently: Enabled)
Hide PIC0.PNG and PIC1.PNG in game menu (currently: Disabled)

However - my homebrew doesn't work. I'm getting a 80020148 message.
What do I need to change?

What are other functions in recovery menu (registry hacks, plugins) Does anybody know a link which will explain that for me?

What the shortcuts "m33" mean?

Some games (Prince of Persia, Tomb Raider) go really slowly. How to change it? Is it memory card's fault?

What's is faster and better - adapter + 8 GB micro SD or 8 GB Sony Memory stick?

What I have GAME150 folder in PSP for? What homebrew should I put there?

UMD Mode Sony NP9660 is the best has the best no umd compatibilty
Some hombrews are for psp phat with 1.5 kernel which will not run on slim due to no 1.5 kernel unless ported to 3.xx kernel
Registry hacks is to enable wma and flash i think or to swap X and O for enter. Plugins r used to load stuff on psp like a cheat engine and other external stuff
If games r slow they could be coz they are in cso or try speeding up your cpu to 333mhz via recovery or VshMenu
I dont think microsd with adaptor would work
Game150 folder is for 1.50 Homebrew

Still have problems with it....
Ok. I have two PSP's. Slim and Phat. Both have 3.80 m33.
Also I have bunch of homebrew I just Can't make it run.
For example:
Titan Milky Player. I loved it, It worked perfectly on my 3.4 before...
Dadelus (n64) emulator. I want it so much to run but I can't!

What folders should I put these games? GAME, GAME150?
I tried everything.

In CF Recovery Menu I have 1.50 Kernel and M33 Umd mode.

Dadelus has two versions, if you have the one with two folders (i.e. Dadelus and Dadelus%) it's for the 1.50 Kernel and this will only work with your Phat. You should not set your Slim to 1.50 Kernel, I don't think anything will work.

If the homebrew is designed for more recent kernels, just put it in the GAME folder, if it's designed for 1.50 (again, has two folders, one with a percentage sign) put it in GAME150.
