Hi Guys.

I have just purchased a new PSP Go, and from reading the above sticky, i noticed that i cannot mod
this as yet. Not even sure on the Version, as it has not arrived in the mail still.

So Question: is there something comming out soon to address this in the ways of being able to play
backup games?

Other than that, i guess i can install hbl and emulators?

appreciated

there's HBL for 6.20-6.35
before the end of the week a 6.20 HEN is expected, and someone already made an iso loader for it.
some time after the release of 6.20 HEN a 6.35 HEN or downgrader will be released.

Hope it's on 6.20 or less when you get it.

Where did you hear that?

I mean I just find it hard to believe somebody's managed to make an addon for something that hasn't been released yet.

I've seen people claim they should be able to make one when it's released, but not that one has been made yet.

wololo's hbl forum.
i think it was called the open idea iso loader.
and it's not really an addon, it's a homebrew program like HBL's menu except loading iso/cso files instead of homebrew eboot.pbp files.

that means it can be developed on any custom firmware and with relative ease be ported to a newer one at a later point.

Hi again
PSP-Go arrived today, and after adding power and starting it, i noticed that it is running v5.70.

Questions to follow.

1 - Do i go online and update the system from 5.70 ?

2 - What do i need to install to be able to play back up games,
or do i still have to wait for the above to come out ?

Help please
would like to get this going before christmas day for the kids.
Many thanks

1 - Do i go online and update the system from 5.70 ? You can find a copy of 6.20 from psp-hacks and update from that.

If you update online normally it'll get you to a later firmware than 6.20.

A general rule for modding systems is to never use the official updates, they will remove and block out mods.

The HEN will not be out for another day or so, and it may be a few days or more after that before the ISO loader (backup game running).

With the HEN alone, at least you'll be able to run homebrew and emulators.

I don't have psp go but what I do to update my psp 2006 is download the update firmware (EBOOT.PBP) and put the eboot into X:PSP/GAME/UPDATE folder (X is your psp go internal storage). In your case, make sure you download the official 6.20 firmware. You can run the updater from your XMB. Hope that help.

When there is an ISO loader it will be front-page news on petty much every PSP hacking site (just like this 6.20 HEN is now that it's out). Next time you feel the need to ask, check a few psp hacking sites first. If it's not there, it's not out, and if you ask anyways, you're likely to get flamed for bugging people.

There's the download links and instructions.

For some homebrew to run in the meantime while you wait for the ISO loader (it could be days to weeks or more), check these stickies.

No it isn't. On a PSP 2000 (Early Mobo), you just use a Pandora battery in conjunction with a Magic Memory Stick. On a PSP 2000 (late mobo), you have to be on 5.03, install 5.03 HEN, then a 5.03 ISO loading CFW.
