Anyone got first-hand experience about the date codes behind PSP batteries and their ability to run CFW?

DX's Chinese New Years celebration kinda got my Pandora stuck.

Exactly why I asked for someone with first-hand experience.

I first had a 8c, returned it because I found out I couldn't get cfw on it, then bought one allready with cfw from a shop, we actually have shops were you can buy allready modded consoles lol.

seems to me that datecodes are related to the boxcodes.
datecode 8c=boxcode G=most of the time TA-088v3, but sometimes TA-088v2.

From what I made up is that if boxcode is G it could be a v2 or a v3.
If the date code is 8c or above, it is v3

Lol, that is a way I could figure out myself too

But in Holland, pandora/jigkick batteries are pretty expensive, and pretend you don't know what dealxtreme is and you don't have a friend with a psp with allready cfw on it and you don't want to manually make one (pretty desperate position).
Maybe then you would like to know first if you have a v2 or a v3?
