    Okay guys! This is it! Get those PSP 3000s of your fired up, cos Custom Firmware 5.03 GEN-A for HEN is now available, as promised. "Entirely compatible with the OFW 5.03" and fully workable for both the Slim and 3K - "without exception" - it's time to enjoy the joys of homebrew.

    Features:
    COMPATIBILITY PSP-3000 and PSP-2000 v3
    Reading of plays PS1
    Reading of the backups of plays PSP
    GEN VSH FINELY available
    Recovery in VSH available (some bugs remains to be regulated - to see further)
    Access to the PSN
    Etc
    Known Bugs:

    The RECOVERY MODE of the 5.02GEN-A was patché to turn on the PSP-3000. It makes it possible to modify the majority of the usual options. Note that we some problems with this recovery in VSH and will undoubtedly have to be awaited a patch encounters correction so that it is functional at 100%.     but it still cant play backups (AKA ISO, CSO,etc..), correct?

    you mean that with this it allows PSP 3000 and such to play games than...

    maybe i'll update to a 3000 if it does

    Just wondering but will leaving the PSP on sleep mode forever damage the PSP in any capacity?

    No.

    On a side note, you're can't leave the PSP on sleep mode "forever". Sleep mode is just a mode where the PSP drains a small percentage of power; power is still being drained, so leaving the PSP on sleep mode will eventually drain the battery.

    So does this mean... Wait nvm. Why would I Want a 3000 anyway... Screen issues >_<

    I might get a 2000. It seems worth it... Then can finally play GBA games properly instead of having all these problems on the DS.

    Whats the different with this firmware and firmware 5.00M33-6 (except that this works on psp3000 ?)

    also i have a silver psp 2000 but i dont know if it is V3 ... i got it this summer in a bundle with daxter

    maybe you can tell by that..if not ...where can i see

    I can't read Frenglish... so basically, the CFW has been made so it can be run on a 3000 via ChickHEN 5.03? And if your PSP shuts down completely, you have to reboot the CFW, although it is flashed to your PSP? Well... does that mean all you do is flip the power switch up to shut down your PSP, as compared to flipping up and holding the switch to power off the PSP? Other than that, PS1 and PSP ROMs can be played, yes? And homebrew is also 100% fixed now? If someone else could fill in the blanks and inform me on what else I don't know, such as other features, side-effects, and warnings I should know about, I'd really appreciate it. [​IMG]

    Turning off your PSP should be the same, although, you may need to boot into ChickHEN R2(only!), then re-flash GEN-A, every time I think. You absolutely do not want to mess with anything in 0flash, I would just play backups, until everything is worked out. Other than those, you should be alright, except for probably trying to find the slim versions of your homebrew of choice(its best for the system, though I havent tried any 1.5 homebrew on it yet).

    @13phillip13 - If you have the Daxter bundle, you should already be able to homebrew it, and instal M33 on it, if you have a homebrewed enabled PSP, or by other means(google it). Its every PSP after that bundle thats been having new motherboards. and for the other question, 5.00 M33 v.6, is the best CFW to have right now, and theres no difference, except you cant mess with the flash, and you probably gotta keep booting into GEN-A.

    and as for those questions about screen-issues...I think they recalled all those shotty machines and adressed them with newer models. So far, I've seen no ghosting, or scan-lines whatsoever. You should be alright in getting a PSP slim for now...damn I want that Madden Blue one.

    Do the red God of War PSPs have one of those bitchy motherboards, or are they safe to CFW? If they are, I'll trade my 3000 for my friend's 2000.
