Hi everyone.
Ok i got a pre-used psp 3000 yesterday running firmware 6.60 soo following instructions i installed temporary pro cfw 6.60. Ok it works perfectly but i was wondering if this cfw can run plugins like cwcheat. If so how???
And if not is it possible to determine the age of my psp to see what firmware it originally had at purchase? This would help me figure out if i can downgrade firmware somehow.
Oh and one last question is there a plugin to backup your umds and is that plugin avaliable for pro 6.60 cfw.
Sorry if this has been asked before but i cant find the answers anywhere.
Plz help. much appreciated. Thanks!!!

1 - Yes, the same was as other plugins. You may need the 6.x versions of some plugins as not all of them worked on 6.x at first without a little modification. CSCheat and CMFusion should work fine IIRC, and there's also TempAR now.

2 - Go to the system settings when in hacked mode and it should display the xxg motherboard line.

3 - Setting the USB device to the UMD drive instead of the memory stick should work IIRC, not sure if that's true for newer games and such. You can do that via the recovery menu.

There are two plugins by neur0n (developer of ME CFWs, contributes to PRO as well) for ripping UMDs:

umd_dump_simple : http://psp.usamimi.i...dump_simple.zip
umd_dump_kai : http://psp.usamimi.i...dump_kai_v2.zip

I don't know what the difference is or how to use either, but I believe they should allow you to dump UMDs directly on the PSP, without having to connect to PC.

EDIT: Looks like "simple" is for dumping over USB (so fairly useless as that functionality is in all CFWs anyway), "kai" is for on PSP dumping.

If you have your PC near you then you may as well just drag and drop the ISO's from the UMD directly rather than use a PSP Specific dumping app/plugin. Simply change the USB mode to UMD.
