Ok, I was on 5.00 m33-6 and wanted to try out 5.50 GEN-D2.

Before I updated, I made a NAND backup with Hellcat's recovery flasher.

I updated to GEN and ended up not liking it, so I used that NAND backup to restore. (with recovery flasher)

And now when I turn on the PSP, I just get a black screen for about 20 seconds then it turns off.

Am I screwed or will a pandora battery be able to save it?

Why did you restore your NAND? it shouldn't be required to when you are trying to go back to previous FW.

Have you tried using the Pandora yet?

Thanks guys

Yeah, the NAND restore was a dumb idea. I shouldn't have even been messing with recovery flasher's advanced mode.

I haven't tried the pandora thing yet. I'm still reading about it. If anybody can point me to a guide that doesn't require another homebrew-enabled psp that would be great.

not my method, thanks go to anime_junkie
open up your slim's original battery and look at this circut board

cut the trace in the blue rectangle (ignore the red circle) with a sharp knife, you will be able to use the battery as a pandora, once you don't need a pandora anymore, color in the cut with a pencil to reconnect the traces

good to hear it worked, did you reflash the psp with cfw or did you (successfully) restore your NAND backup?

Lol I tought the only reason to make a NAND backup as it backs up the IDStorage.
I would not try to overwrite a NAND backup from a diffirent firmware over the current one.

But hey atleast now you are set for next time stuff goes wrong. ^^
