Is this a too-low-firmware problem? Can the PSP 1000 upgrade higher?
It's been years since I've done anything homebrew to my PSP. I've just used it as an MP3 player forever.
I just downloaded a huge bunch of tracks that won't work on the standard player because of the 99-songs-per-folder limitation of the stock psp music player.
I'm afraid to upgrade my PSP and have something mess up because I had a ton of issues trying to get PS1 games to work on higher custom firmwares. The only functions I use on my PSP are PS1 games and listening to music, so I'm concerned.
What steps should I take to resolve this issue?
