Damn, my Switch got banned because i played with illegal games, download updates for my illegal games and i visit the eshop with SX OS.

But why, i dont understand... duh..
I play only offline and i am happy that i can still updates my games, thats the only thing i need, so who cares

i figured updating a ton of games would get logged and 'flagged'

And I figured running cfw gets everyone flagged

SX (and other firmwares) should probably try to implement a "Enforce disabled networking stack" togglable option for when you boot into CFW.

That way, if you're the pirating type you could be safe in the knowledge that CFW will never go online. To update a game you'd be forced to boot OFW and download it via the tile and should then be safe...

Well, until Nintendo start logging hashes of cartridge cert modulii to eMMC and quietly begin to report them back.

Still, the ability to enforce network stack disablement in CFW would be desirable for pirates and homebrew guys alike.

Always was on airplane, never updated backups, i didnt do the clear the de-report which might be the cause? Who knows. I Was able to used eshop yesterday, then today i installed SX OS. Once i install SX OS is when i got banned today. I started again in normal OFW, and tried to unlink my nintendo account is when i got banned. I know i shoulda unlinked before installing the sx os. No biggie i dont play anything online anyways. Just wanted to inform.

Two things:
1. You were banned most likely due to the custom errors created when LayeredFS crashed. They were stored within the Switch and sent to Nintendo once you went online.

Why do you even update your games for? Don't they work without the update or something?

Dragonball XV 2 REQUIRES you to update to latest to even start for the first time (mainly cause it IS 1/2 online game)

QOL improvement and bug fixes. Not mandatory but nice to have

thanks for letting us know, i was thinking about updating games on ofw, seems like nothing is safe for now.

best to wait for a homebrew cleaning log solution

or... I'll just take the risk , could still play ssb on wiiu if i wanted >.>
and as long as we can still update stuff while banned I'll be good

He also used LayeredFS which seems to be one of the main reason of bans.

oh didn't see him mention it..
but wish me much, never used that layered stuff only tx os cfw, booted into ofw to update some stuff and grab the jap audio for xeno2 so that i can finally play it.

edit: also have autorcm enabled, i don't bother disabling that, it's the most convenient thing for me.

Would be interesting to see if you get banned for doing that, try not to use other weird stuff and see. Maybe this usage is ok.

Hopefully not, I'm pretty sure people who got banned kinda looked after it by using some weird stuff (like LayeredFS) or played online with weird certs.
A '"classic" usage might be okay.
