But someday in the future Nintendo might shut down its servers.
In desperate struggle for google search results You might encounter modified/broken files.

Cool! I just wanted to add that some IOSs may have 2 legitimate signatures due to minor differences. Most if not all of these have been documented within the modmii sourcecode, here's an example

IOS14-64-v1032.wad

Note these are md5's of the same official ios provided by Nintendo, just downloaded at different times

Edit: I just realized your list is very incomplete, it doesn't even list ios14

Search for "set md5" in modmii.bat and you should find all the md5's (as well as alternates) for all active ios's and more

Edit2: here's another one that serves as a better comparison since ios36 is included in your list

Apparently my md5's don't match with yours, I'm 100% certain mine are accurate, I wonder if because I use the command line version of nusd that our md5's differ, or if there's some other subtle difference. But yeah, the md5's in your list definitely aren't the only valid md5's, of this I am 100% certain, plus obv the list is missing many ios's

Could you please elaborate a bit more about IOS14?
I've never used it in soft modding and I'm very curious.
I'm more happy to update first post but including everything just for sake of it is not my goal.

Regards alternative checksums. I was using GUI version of NUSD few days ago.
Also I have IOS backup archive downloaded by NUSD around 10 yeas ago. Got 100% content match.
I understand that these files might be just fine. But wonder about content differences. More on prv.

Ios14 was maybe not a great example, but modmii can help users update all their IOSs the same way an official update would, this includes IOS14 and a number of other IOSs as well. So for this reason I have a pretty complete list of md5 hashes.

I can confirm that WADs generated from:
131926cddd7d9fbaeed1b07c53aca4bb ModMii6.6.3_Installer.exe
61dbc46ff3ba420fa2305280d19bb228 NUSDownloader_v19.zip
differs a little.

Main data is the same.
But header section is different. Looks like chunks with certificates are constructed not the same way.
Also files generated by NUSDownloader_v19.zip are bigger. There is block of 48 zero bytes added at the end.

I have no idea who is right and which files are "better".
Confrontation between authors of NUSD GUI/CMD might solve this mystery.

@wiiNinja, @WB3000 could you please show us some light on that matter?

I personally would trust the GUI version from WB3000; the command line version is a few versions behind, and not maintained.

The cmd line version has certainly been used A LOT via modmii without issues. Both sources are likely safe/stable.
