First BD-J + Kernel access exploit provided by Sleirsgoevy (29/9/22)

Note: There are several USERLAND exploits, a couple of KERNEL exploits, and there is now a public HYPERVISOR exploits available for 1.xx-2.70 to complete the full exploit chain (23/10/24).

Recently Flatz confirmed he has developed his own HV exploit (1.xx-4.51 which is kept private) which was chained from a PS4 save game, and has successfully dumped PlayStation Secure Processor (27/07/23).

As of August 4th 2022: We can now install PS4/PS5 PKG games and updates (and by extension FPKGs) however official PKGs cannot be run unless you legitimately owned them previously digitally and have a licence for them on your current console, or if you own the disc (for update pkgs).

As of October 6th PS4 FPKG can be played on 4.03 OFW thanks to Sliersgoevy FPKG enabler!

Payload: https://gbatemp.net/download/4-03-fpkg-enabler-hen.38248/

As of October 21st PS4 FPKG can be played on 4.50 thanks to cheburek3000 porting offsets.

Payload: https://gbatemp.net/download/4-50-fpkg-enabler-hen.38279/

As of October 25th theflow0 fixes BD-J path traversal and native code execution for 7.61
https://x.com/theflow0/status/1717088032031982066?s=46&t=PIYQV4jmWEyCbVfx3Nx26g

As of November 4th ktuff is fixed for 4.51:

Payload: https://gbatemp.net/download/fpkg-enabler-4-51-hen.38306/

Nov 7th PS5 backups loaded via Itemzflow by Lightningmodz and Echostretch. Fully decrypted dumps require system files bundled into them in order to run without crashing with Libhijacker (no hen required), details here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/ps5-exploit-guide.613891/page-109#post-10290677

As of November 30th ps5debug has been released by SiSTR0: https://github.com/GoldHEN/ps5debug
Mirror: https://gbatemp.net/download/ps5debug.38333/

Dec 1st: first PS5 trainer (Dark Souls) is completed ready for the imminent release of REAPER Multi Trainer II by CTN.

Dec 25th: PS5 back up loading via ITEMZFLOW now released: https://pkg-zone.com/details/ITEM00001

As of Jan 2nd 2024 Sleirsgoevy has ported K-Stuff offsets for 3.xx firmwares.

As of Jan 4th 2024 LM had added 3.XX Kstuff to Itemzflow meaning 3.XX-4.51 is now supported for PS4/PS5 backups and dumping.

Oct 8th 2024: BD-JB + Kernel works on 7.61 thanks to user Hammer.
1: Never enable IDU mode.
If you do you will need to enter staff mode by holding L1 + L2 and tapping this combo: circle, cross, square, triangle, right D-Pad. Release L1 + L2 and you can access settings to exit IDU.

2: Try to stay on the lowest FW possible and wait it out for hacks on that firmware.

3: PS5 FPKGs cannot work as a hack for the a53 processor does not publicly exist to enable PS5 content as FPKG/PKG.

4: Installing legit game PKGs you do not own will not work, even if spoofed.

5: If you get stuck in a boot loop at the PS logo, this means the SNVS is corrupted (if hash check fails on boot this causes a “soft brick”).

It’s not “bricked”, just reinstall your current firmware RECOVERY PUP in safe mode!

? Did you post the wrong link? Why is that relevant?
No, it is the right link. Now i know that the Pro fans also have holes like the NMB v2, v3 and all slim fans. And to let you know that your (aliexpress 30th anniversary) top slim plates will not fit onto the pro = worse gaming experience 🤣

Seems there is no guide to find the serial number of a 1016 just by looking at the serial number.
Nobody did the work for the US models and the cfi-10 like i did on the cfi-11 and higher. Under onw of my videos some people from US wrote down their serial and fw because i asked them to provide the info so we can find out togethet. Sadly there is not much info.
send a picture of the serial and i will try to find out what fw it is on.
have to compare it to some cfi-10 with 1.xx, 2.xx, 3.xx that i had/have

With US cfi-11 the PH2 and PH3 can maybe help to see what fw it is on.. see pictures:

Thank you, that is what i suspected. I have a 1016a with S01-530, this one is on 3.00. So, for one with a fw below 3.00 the serial must be lower i think.

The CFI-1016B that i sold and made a video about was on FW 1.02 and serial was: S01-1362319-B
My CFI-1016A on FW 2.70 has S01-4832xxx-A

your S01-530 = 3.00

This guys cfi11 with (~4.03 i assume) has S01-7082964-M

It is possible that higher Nr means higher FW.

Maybe some of you can check your CFI-10 serials, FW and region and post it here. Thx

Implementation of byepervisor exploit:
- Added pmap mappings from FreeBSD and support for randomization of dmap address.
- Added proc and mtx structure mappings.
- Various improvements to pointer api. In particular if there is a memory fault when reading kernel, an exception will now be raised.
- Added libkernel mappings to trigger rest mode.
- Byepervisor payload itself for fw 1.xx and 2.xx.
- Modified the kernel dumper to dump text segment if accessible.
- Added offsets for all firmware.

I am not sure what to think of Bluesky. Some people are overly positive about it, some are overly negative. It popped out of nowhere when seemingly everyone who dumped Twitter had already moved to Mastodon or similar federated services.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@IC_, not liking/doing what everyone else likes/does sort of makes me feel bad
  • IC_ @ IC_:
I still don't get what the deal with Bluesky is, I heard it was supposed to be federated and possible to self-host like Mastodon as well, but somehow I haven't seen or heard anyone doing that. Yet people complain about community and moderation issues on the official Bluesky instance. I really don't get what's going on and how it's supposed to work.

  • IC_ @ IC_:
Myself, I have no interest in using (having an account on) such a social media website. People are often surprised that I don't have any social media and none of the most popular IM services, especially in real life. But I continue to stand against it, even when so many people have complained about it. Even if it makes my life a bit harder.

At some point I should probably create my own blog website, so my blogs can reach more people outside of GBAtemp. Long-form blogs are much nicer in my opinion compared to this modern "microblogging".
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@IC_, I ran out of ideas for blog entries and thus I just make profile posts
  • IC_ @ IC_:
I still have lots of ideas, but it unfortunately does take a lot more effort to write a good blog entry with photos than to write a simple post.

Once I finish this project I've been working on for months, I'll hopefully do a blog entry about it.

    Nice, it's open-source.
