ps4 system recovery problem ( safe mode loop ) !

hi, i have a 1216 ps4 who can power on only with a cd game ( i just insert half of the cd and the ps4 power's on ) because the power button is desoldered.

console ask for 7.50 update on the safe mode option 7 , so ;

-i put a 7.55 recovery system ( 1go )
PS4/UPDATE/PS4UPDATE.PUP nothing
-also a 7.50 recovery system ( 1go)
PS4/UPDATE/PS4UPDATE.PUP nothing
-also a 7.50 update system (490mo )
UPDATE/PS4UPDATE.PUP nothing

initialising goes 100% ,then preparing system update 100% , after that the ps4 reboot and goes direct to "connect dualshock ....and press ps button"
if pressed we go to safe mode again and again.

what i've tried
-changing the hdd.
-format exfat, ext4, ntfs.
-mbr and gpt.
-changing the usb stick ( where the recovery system is )

reminder : the ps4 has no power button, it's desoldered, but can boot with a cd game.
is this related ?

any hint's are more then welcome i'm out of ideas.

Hey I have the exact same problem as you. Like every single problem you listed is exactly what’s going on with my deal. Tried everything and I did switch to another hard drive but it was a smaller one that is 500GB compared to the original which was 1TB. Did you ever happened to find a solution for your issue?

Hi, yes just 2 weeks ago a Friend of mine replaced the southbridge USB ( note that the USB works just fine in safe mode ) because hé notice some shorts with it.
also he replaced the HDD (500go) , wich i tried multiple Times with no succes !
now everything works just fine

Southbridge USB? Is that just one of the USB ports in the front? Also what caused your system to originally mess up? What’s the history that led up to it? And for you all you really had to do was switch out the storage for a new one? See cause I tried a brand new one I bought and it loads up to 100% and begins to reboot but then just goes back into safe mode. I got this PS4 from a friend cause it’s a BO3 edition and he I guess had some water from condensation from a glass cup probably went down into it but he has the PS4 cover on it. I want to fix it because I want to jailbreak it and it’s such a good firmware too where you don’t require a USB to jailbreak it every time

So, the southbridge problem ( youtube it ) need's a chip replacement, imho you need a pro to replace it or at least test it if the problem come's from there.
That's what my ps4 had and he also replace the HDD by a used one , but the main problem was the southbridge.

I’ll have to search up what the south bridge is then. Well at least you’ve helped me out a bit more on looking into exactly what the issue may be. Thank you man. Hope you’re still having fun playing your PS4. If I ever get it fixed I’ll let you know. Haha

Right now playing Switch games with the kids.
Played Ps4 with Friends every day for 1month and a half last summer vacation, it was really good, reminded me of same vacations when we where kids on nes, and the good old days without smartphones
