Hacking Ps3Xploit - Now Install CFW from 4.82 OFW : NOR/NAND Software Flash Writer + NOR Dumper Released

Bit of an odd question; I have two 'dump.hex' files, one is from my old trusted 2501A (minver 3.50) and one from a brand-new 4201C (minver 4.55). Both have been upgraded to 4.82. If you look at offset 0x008004D0 the dump from the Slim says "482.000.SCE" but the SuperSlim says "455.000.SCE". Any idea why the SuperSlim doesn't have 482.000.SCE there? Does that have to do with the updated security?

Hey,
I'm on OFW 4.82 CECH 2504, minverchk shows 3.50, the NOR goes to "success" and PS3 turns off after 2 seconds.
I turn on the PS3, put the CFW 4.82 to correct folder on FAT 32 USB stick (tried 2.0 and 3.0). When i try to update to CFW IT goes to 70% and "the data is corrupted" shows up. I read all the posts of people having this issue across 3 different boards, and went through whole process exploit->CFW updates and nothing works.
Trier both system and recovery mode always getting "the data is corrupted".
Yes, i've downloaded cfw few times and checked the md5.

Any hint? Tried that new 4.81.2 rebug too, but it says data corrupted at 71%.

Well, I prefer Webman as it's much faster than loading up Multiman, selecting a game, and then getting kicked back out to the XMB, and then starting the game. Not to mention, Webman gives you system wide FTP and shit.

Just get your ROMs and put them in your HDD/PS3ISO / HDD/PS2ISO / HDD/PSXISO / HDD/PSPISO

And to go online, I just mount my game, then run PSNinja, do the top 3 options, then run PSNPatch then go. Been doing that for about a year and never got banned or anything.

What firmware did you install? It needs to use Cobra if you want to launch PS3 ISOs.

There are 3 possible formats (that I know of) for PS3 games: ISOs,, game folders, and some rare times PKGs.
Find your games whereever, put ISOs in your HDD of choice (internal or external) in a folder called "PS3ISO" in the root of the drive. Then you'll find it in Webman after refreshing it's list. (Or Multiman if you prefer)
If it's a game folder, put it in the GAMES folder of the root. Then you'll find it in Webman after refreshing it's list (Or Multiman if you prefer)
If it's a PKG, put it in the PKG folder and install it from the main menu.

Well, yes.
I use Ferrox 4.82 Cobra. Of course, everyone else will tell you to get Rebug for absolutely no reason whatsoever though.

Welp I just got my Phat on Rebug 4.81.2CFW now. The exploit was more like spamming the refresh button till it worked. My Slim will still be my main Jailbroken console
but atleast I have a 2nd hacked PS3. (Multiman) on the Left (Webman) via XMB on the right using a 4TB WD external HDD. Rebug is just more reliable to the veterans if you are new to the ps3 scene it really won't matter
