shit just got real.
Wow sony are gonna lock this guy up...
Can someone explain to me what that is?
i wonder why do people want to hack? and this guy is giving sony the bird LOL
I have a feeling that Sony will win this battle. Straight out threats aren't going to work.
Yeah you called that one. This is going to turn into an all out war real quick.
I really like the 'Or else..' part.. I am a bit excited for that I don't know why sony really get so serious about this stuff not all people are hackers/pirates and some are just homebrew-ers who wanted more out of their systems. Most of people don't even know it exist. I know a lot of my friends don't even know they can play backups on other system such as DS. lol Hackers vs. Sony. Who's gonna win?
I can't wait to see how Sony squirms their way out of this mess.
if you read their response about this DMCA notice (on some of their respective forums or IRC Channels).. they might do bad things.
i think graf_chokolo post a message about warning sony for that case. same with others too... SONY just triggered their senses to take a look more on the system.
This guy should pray to baby Jesus Sony shrugs him off, lest he be brought up on charges of making terrorist threats. No kid in his mom's basement needs to be issuing threats like that. It might sound cute to a select few, but thinking you're 10 ft. tall and being 10 ft. tall aren't the same thing.
As long as you can bear the 10ft load, you may as well be 10ft tall.
As long as he can handle the consequences of his actions, he can do whatever he wants.
If this kills the PS3 like it killed the PSP, I'd be so fucking laughing HARD. And it'd be so worth it to kill two systems in a row. Especially with all the blending and useless difference between PS3 and 360 at the moment... the market's nosedived into this weird place where everything's the same. A lot of stuff involves this--but aside from that, and what impact ruining another console for Sony would be--it'd be just awesome to watch it fall.
Mostly because there's so much drive about the money going on. And that's going right past the real point of games altogether...
So reverse engineering the hypervisor would lead to what exactly? I don't think the PS3 security can get any worse than it already is.
if it can it will.
well as far as right now, 5.56 has yet to be hacked because of all the changes
I get the feeling they're going to lose; and hard. Not only will they lose this battle, but these petty attacks are going to damage their image in the process. Sony isn't so stupid as to be ignorant of how the internet works in this day and age. You can't but the genie back in the bottle; they'll never succeed in scrubbing all traces of this hack, and it's foolish and potentially harmful to themselves to try.
They should back down, IMO. And they should probably never have removed Other OS.
yeah back off or else this kid has ballz
This is quickly devolving into a guerilla war.
he cant do something legal so ramp up the hacking process. it can get even worse if EVERYTHING concerning the hacking is released
