Hey guys
So, I've been away for almost like 7 years from gaming and stuff and rn I'm like... daaaam dude lots of things have changed!

I wanted to buy an external hard drive for my PS3 Slim /4.89 cfw/ and I also read some threads just before posting here:

https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-...-on-a-wii-as-a-single-fat32-partition.602038/
https://gbatemp.net/threads/3tb-4tb-5tb-or-6tb-drives-with-vwii-usb-loader-gx-nintendont.429374/
https://gbatemp.net/threads/ps3-8tb-setup-questions.610834/

and I'm kinda confused tbh. From my understanding (correct me if I'm wrong):

1. PS3 only supports MBR partitions and cannot read GPT drives.
2. A +2TB drive has to be converted to GPT, or it'll be only limited to 2TB as the maximum capacity.
3. [But] there is actually a way to convert +2TB drives to MBR, using a Western Digital software. (like for real?!)

So... What should I do guys? I really appreciate your help.

As far as I understand you just have to make the first partition the right size. You can use any drive that works and use the remainder on other oses. MAC OS makes it a breeze to do that in disk utility.
