    I want to emulate PS2 on my laptop, which is of alright spec, just wanted to see what you thought would be the best emulator and plugins etc.

    My specs are:

    Vista home premium
    3gb ram
    8600mgt 256mb
    core 2 duo 2.00ghz

    Just wanna play some games i missed out on!

    PS2 emulation is not quiet there yet. It has minor graphical glitches from time to time. However, the speed is amazingly fast now. PS2 emulation has progressed alot. With your specs, your machine should do fine.

    New GSDX plugin came out a couple of days ago, make sure to enable the proper instruction sets for your CPU, and get the DX10 version. PCSX2 .9.4 and .9.5, put them in the same folder so they share plugins and try the other if the first doesn't work

    The god of war games
    Shadow of the collosus
    The final fantasys

    do they get good speeds?

    Good luck, you will be trying just about every CPU and graphical setting to get those to work optimally

    Just drop 60 bucks on a PS2 + modchip/swapdisc.

    Ah i cant be crapped, to many plugins and stuff. Il just go without lol, cheers for the help though.
