PS1/2 ps1 modchip

hey all does anyone know if there are any open source ps1 modchips that are based on easy to obtain chips like YAOSM is with PIC chips for the wii

Yeah there have been a few threads (Jumpman17 (I think) had a nice link once but I can not seem to dig it up.)
