My PS Vita has recently developed an issue where after 1 minute and 6 seconds of being plugged in, the orange lamp goes off and presumably stops charging.
I don't know if it's actually charging or not, trying to charge it while it's on makes it not show any signs of charging at all (I still have battery left)
I've tried
* Changing the battery
* Using a different charging cable
* Cleaning out the charging port
* Different outlets
All resulting in the same issue

My PS Vita is softmodded, no hardmods (unless you count battery replacement or SD2Vita)
But the issue persists when it's completely off, with the SD2Vita pulled out, and with the original battery.

Hopefully i did this right and have the pictures of its components here:

Well, it's me again. Looks like you've pretty much run the whole thing through. There are a lot of tech-heads in this forum, so give it a bit of time and hopefully someone will chime in. Sorry for the loss, no one likes to see a nice piece of hardware go haywire.

Hang in there, someone will show up. Check this thread at least ONCE a day. Wish I could be of more help...

Now that I think about it, did you try with a different charging brick? You mentioned different cables but if it's the same brick then it could not be compatible, happened to me once since I have an Oled one and only the usb cable, in my case the orange light would flicker. Changed the brick but still using the same cable and it works

2 answers, I charged it straight from the USB from multiple sources (my PC, me laptop, etc.) I definitely did use a different brick, but I'll try again with even more when I get home.

Like, as in using a different brick was the solution to the same problem for you?

I was going to try to overclock my Vita, since I still have battery on it from when I replaced the battery, but it currently has 83%, last time I checked it had ~69%, so I'm just more confused
Also, pretending that I didn't just discover this wacky shit, I tried with a different brick and it had the same effect (although maybe this time it was because it was at full battery? idk)

Another update: I uninstalled CFW and the issue remains, I also still have no idea what happened before when it said I had more battery

I have had problems with charging from other devices than the ps vita brick. I have gotten a orange light but it dont work. After using the ps brick it works fine. Once the brick stopped working and after replacing it all worked fine again

Hello chat, I've managed to last day get an exchange with my seller, so I most likely will not come to an answer.
I did however, uninstall CFW and then left it untouched for a few days, then just wanted to try charging it, it stayed charging for about 2 hours and looked fully charged, however, when I opened it up to take the photos, I did also get to charge it for a few hours, but the battery did not go up.

Another update for any future people with the same problem, since I'm getting an exchange PS Vita, I've officially done every test I can. I tried charging it with my VR Micro USB charger, which works perfectly, problem with that is, I tried another cable at school, which had the EXACT same issue. I also tried the PS Vita cable with my VR controllers, which also worked fine! TL;DR for anyone looking for a solution, buy a HTC Vive Wand Micro USB cable and try that?? I have no fucking idea anymore.

Hey dude, I had some problems with my PS Vita. (And yes, they repair PS Vitas)...

I took it to these guys, and they fixed it in a JIFFY!!! I had a Japanese model, and they treated it with great respect. Check them out here...

And if ANYONE gives you guff about these guys, I can guarantee that these cats will fix it, and you'd nothing to fear anymore...
