Not really a big deal? Not like you could do it with older PSP's anyway.

Either way, its not like im getting rid of my 2000 or GO so i'll still have those for all the free games i desire.

I'm sure Sony will allow some way for you to download demos and DLC for import games without having to format the Vita. Maybe through their PC software or through a PS3. It doesn't make sense that they would make the Vita region free and then block importers from extras such as DLC.

Has anyone else noticed that the recent Vita news is all bad news?

Only because Sony haters and 3DS fanboys see it that way.

This. It's more like neutral or "Oh, k" news.
It's not bad, it's just not good either.

It's...meh.
I disagree. This is indeed a piece of bad news - just that it isn't really 'crucial'. I would love to download some JP exclusives and still use a local account but I can't apparently. Even though the PSP couldn't support some people were expecting the successor to support it.

It isn't about fanboy or not. It isn't about 'meh' news. This news is bad, but not too crucial and important.

thus it's meh news.

Chances are you'll be able to download JP games via MediaGo or whatever the vita uses on PC.
Where there's a will, there's a way.
If not, meh.

You also stated in this same thread that it wasn't an issue.
Make up your mind.

To me, it isn't an issue. To each their own opinion. If you think this news puts a damper on your day, well, suck it up. If you think this news is meh/so what/awesome, then continue enjoying your day.

Some people just won't be happy no matter what Sony does.

I personally use multiple PSN accounts on my PS3 to download demos from the US and Japan. But expecting this from a handheld makes no sense. A handheld is designed to be for one user. Why would Sony go through the trouble of allowing multiple users to have an account on one Vita?

The Vita is region free, meaning you can buy it in any country in the world and get the exact same device that plays every game you can get for it. It has an account based online Store, meaning you can easily transfer all of your purchases to a new device and even play the games that you already bought on a PSP, PS3 or other Vita. I don't see how this is in any way worse than what the 3DS has: it is region locked, you can't transfer games without access to the old device, games cannot be transferred from the Wii and DSiWare games that are transferred don't work on the DSi anymore.

I'm not saying the Vita is perfect or the 3DS is bad, but when it comes to this, Vita is clearly better than the 3DS.

What I mean is that it will be an issue for some. I guess no more P3rd for me. And totally agree with the last part.

And about Vita being better and whatnot, this might just spark wars. I won't really talk about it.

Pretty stupid of Sony, oh well I'll be using my Japanese account from now on. This will screw the EU and Australians the most since they don't get as many games as the US or Japan.
